OLPC meeting Feb 5 @ 5PM

OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) users and curious others are invited to meet, share, help, play, and learn with others who are playing, learning, struggling... with the new green laptops in town.

First meeting will take place at February 5th at 5:00PM in the Douglass Library of Champaign. Bring your own if you have one, or borrow one of ours if you don't!

Apply Etoys/OLPC Quick Guide ideas to create interactive projects. Install OLPC/Etoys software on your PC or Mac laptop. We can help.

Etoys/Squeak Workshops for Teachers and Students

An introduction to free software students can use at home and at school to create geometry puzzles and games, interactive books, or to enjoy projects from the Squeakcmi Library Collections.

You provide:

• Students
• Computer Lab
• 1- 3 Hours

• Instructors
• Lesson materials
• K-5 Math, Science, Language Arts, Art, or Social Science
• Middle School Math and Science
• CDs with free software for PCs, Macs, and OLPCs
